In other words, if you have a great offer that's going to a great list, you're money--even if you have a kindergartner scratch it out on a cocktail napkin.

On the other hand, even the world's greatest copy can't help a bad offer to a bad list.

That's where today's copywriting lesson begins--with your offer.

You see, no matter what you are selling, your prospects are buying your offer. The better the offer, the greater the chances they will buy.

It doesn't matter whether you are selling tee shirts or a tech newsletter. The offer is everything.

CASE IN POINT:

I was tasked to sell a new stock advisory for investing guru Louis Navellier. The new advisory was called Platinum Growth Club, it combined subscriptions to all of his varying newsletters. Plus additional stock picks and portfolio allocations.

In other words, it was almost like Louis managing your money in the form of a newsletter.

It was going to be an expensive advisory--$6776 a year!

(How they came up with the price, I don't know. But my job was to sell it!)

Since the list we were selling it to were already subscribers to one or more of their publications, we decided to credit them for their subscriptions.

That's where the magic came in.

If someone subscribed to all of Louis Publications, they would get a credit of--hold on to your hat--$11,294!

I thought, "That's a great hook!"

That's how I came up with this grand slam home run...
