A Tale of Two Wall Streets

If you have seen the Wall Street Journal's "Two Young Men" sales letter, then you know it's generated over $1 billion.

You also know that copywriters have used that formula for their own promotions with great success.

I am one of them.

Back in 2007, I used that "Two Young Men" approach to create "A Tale to Two Wall Streets."

Of course, one Wall Street would make you rich. The other sent you to the poor house.

This email was rolled out over and over during the year. While I can't really reveal the exact amount of money it made, I can tell you I made $5,000 in royalties every time they rolled it out!

Cha-ching!

The reason for its success was what I call the "heaven and hell" approach. Do this and go to heaven. Do this and go to hell.

In this one piece, I was able to wall the reader down both outcomes--sort of like the grinch who stole Christmas. I painted the picture of what would happen if you failed to make the right decision along with the incredible profits and riches that await you should you make the right one.

As I regularly tell my coaching clients, it's one thing to study a swipe, it's another to put those ideas to work.

In my "Tale of Two Wall Streets," you'll see exactly how I do it by taking the current news and whipping the reader into a frenzy based on what is happening in the markets and the devastation that awaits the unwitting.

Funny thing--with what is going on today in the markets, this piece could be rolled out a gain with simply a few updates.

You need only watch the financial markets to know what I mean.

In 2007 this piece offered the perfect solution for investors. The only real update would be to change that catalyst.

That's how powerful the argument is that I set up.

That's what, I believe, would make it a great piece to steal ideas from, just like the Wall Street Journal's "Two Young Men" letter, only you'll have in hand a real-world way to apply it.
